Travel House of America and N.A.R.(UK) Ltd
NAR (UK) was established in 1981. It was founded by Peter Mackness,
formerly Managing Director for Continental Trailways Bus, pioneers of the first major
travel programmes from Europe to the USA in the early seventies. NAR has
established itself as a leader in providing travel product for the USA and Canada to travel
operators worldwide.
In the early 80’s they called it independent travel, then tailor made travel
and today it is dubbed “dynamic packaging”, but no matter what the name, NAR has
been at the forefront in presenting new and innovative travel arrangements for
North America for more than a quarter of a century.
In the late eighties, NAR opened offices for Virgin Holidays in Orlando and
New York , a testimony to our travel experience and proof that even the largest of
companies needs expert advice to help establish themselves. The NAR office in
Florida remains today, operating as Travel House of America.
From hotel accommodation throughout the USA and Canada (see our sister site

tickets, theatre tickets and theme dinners to airport transfers by private sedan,
limousine or shuttle bus, from car and motorhome hire to Harley Davidson motorbike

a reservations office in the United States, an added bonus for customers who
require assistance locally or who need additional travel advice.
Group travel remains popular to North America today. With my own experience
of bus transportation and group packaging from my 10 years at Trailways Bus,
combined with that of our knowledgeable US and Canadian staff, I feel that NAR
continues to be the leading specialist in organizing group travel to North America
When I first discovered the USA in 1971, I was overwhelmed by the enormity of
the country, by its rich landscape and its wonderful cities. I have now spent 35
years learning about this great country and continue to do so. Whilst I still
continue to learn about and develop new products and programmes, I invite travel
